Leak detection and repair
Finding hidden leaks before they turn into water damage, and fixing them properly.
Leak detection and repair: an overview
A visible drip is easy to find. Hidden leaks are another story: water running inside a wall, under a slab or in an attic can do a lot of damage before anyone notices. Higher water bills, damp spots, musty smells and the sound of running water are often the first clues.
Leak detection is a process of elimination. We check fixtures and visible plumbing, use the water meter to confirm whether water is moving when everything is off, and narrow down the location before opening anything. The goal is to find the leak with as little disruption as possible.
Once we find it, we explain the repair options. A single failed fitting is a straightforward fix; repeated leaks on aging pipe may point toward a partial or whole-home repipe, which we’ll discuss honestly.
